Do you know why a wine is called "Hochgewächs"? Translated it means more or less "high grown" but in fact it has nothing to do with the height of the vine stock. It is just about quality. This addition is particularly for Riesling quality wines which achieve certain quality characteristics. At an official rating, the Riesling needs to get at least 3.0 points with regard to colour, clarity, flavour and taste.
Our semi-sweet Riesling Hochgewächs achieved the points needed and can be called "Hochgewächs" wich approves a good quality level. It is a wine for people who have a sweet tooth. This Riesling from the Mosel is fruit sweet and is hard to beat in terms of noblesse and elegance. With regard to food pairing it also fits well to light meat and chicken, besides desserts and vegetables. This semi-sweet white wine is a classic Riesling from the Mosel which brings great pleasure when you drink it and really shows the fineness of this grape variety.
